On this tour we take you on a journey to explore the finest natural areas that Oahu has to offer. Begin the day in a
verdant mountain rainforest, and then spend the afternoon exploring one of Hawaii’s finest coastal areas. A personalized
tour that highlights unique cultural and scenic sites, this custom eco-adventure will give you a sense of Hawaii’s
natural history and a cultural perspective of the Hawaiian way of life in days of old.
Your adventure starts with a 1.6 mile R/T hike to world famous Mänoa Falls. This 200-foot tall tropical waterfall is
the tallest accessible waterfall on Oahu — its spectacular natural beauty defies the imagination. Rainbows are commonly
seen through the misty Mänoa rainforest during the hike, which is rated as moderate.
After the hike, we will travel through spectacular Halawa Valley to the Windward side of the island. This valley is an
excellent location to view one of Oahu’s more pristine rainforest landscapes. You will marvel at the mysterious ancient
burial caves and sparkling waterfalls high in the cliffs above as we pass them along the way. Spectacular views of the
Windward Coast is visible as we pass through tunnels into the heart of the Ko’olau volcano.
Once on the Windward side, we’ll enjoy the panoramic views across beautiful Kaneohe Bay from the world-famous Nu’uanu
Pali Lookout. At the lookout you will have a chance to take in the panoramic vista of Windward Oahu, while learning
about the famous battle of the Nu’uanu Pali that secured King Kamehameha sovereignty over the Hawaiian Islands.
After our visit to this unique Hawaiian cultural site, we travel to the white sands of Kailua Beach (voted the Best
Beach on Oahu by Conde Nast) where you can enjoy the warm, turquoise waters and coral reefs that Hawaii is famous for.
At the beach you can simply relax, swim, and enjoy the uncrowded ambiance of the place, or explore nearby tide pools.
You’ll also be blessed with a view of nearby Mokulua Islands just off-shore, and learn about the many migratory seabird
species that make these off shore islands their home.
