You'll experience a "Hawaii 5-O" themed tour by exploring of the island of Oahu. Offering some of the most dramatic
vistas and picturesque urban locations from the hit T.V. show, this unique, half-day excursion focuses on the stunning scenic
contrasts between windward Oahu's eastern- and metropolitan Honolulu's south-facing shores.
As a result of Hawaii's incredibly diverse ecosystem, the islands of Aloha have become known as "Hollywood's Tropical Backlot,"
being the perfect backdrop for a variety of different environments - from arid desert to mountain pine forest, verdant grassland to
majestic mountain terrain - in addition to the lush tropical rainforests and pristine sand beaches that Hawaii is known for.
Highlights of this tour include not only magnificent views of the island's rocky coastline, a gentle hike through a verdant tropical
rainforest, and a Windward beach stop, but also a visit to Police Headquarters - as featured from both the reboot and the original
series. A side trip to view the main film studios and visiting downtown urban areas, which is all included before we head back to view
the island's rainforest areas.
After a brief overview of filming locations in and around Waikiki, we drive along the south shore and continue our trek to the
spectacular Windward side of Oahu. Our journey includes scenic vistas of Oahu's steep rocky bluffs for breathtaking views of the
coastline and surf as featured in establishing shots from the popular CBS t.v. series.
Exceptional photo opportunities abound at every site - including a rainforest and stream area - on this half-day tour. In fact, all
the locations we visit are settings of natural beauty or cultural and historical significance in addition to playing a role in the t.v. show.
